I still don’t think this story can be explained as simply as “grooming”. I get that it feels weird to read at times since Hanju is clearly uncomfortable. But I didn’t see any reason to believe that Giwon protected/raised Hanju with gross intentions (and in fact, didn’t he lose contact with Hanju for a long time and just waited for him?). Sure, I’m sure there was a part of him that was holding onto the memory of their past relationship, but I don’t think that’s the same as grooming (with its implication of intentional manipulation).
Basically, I just think this story is worth reading for the nuance and people should give it a chance. Because of the fantasy context, it lets us grapple with some pretty complex human emotions and questions that we may not otherwise encounter. Like, in Giwon’s situation is it better to live or die, what does meaning look like in a never ending life, etc etc. At least so far it feels more like a star crossed tragedy than a romance to me.
(I’m also not trying to say it’s necessarily right for Giwon to make Hanju feel uncomfortable given than Hanju views him as family.. I just think it adds to the complexity)

It sort of feels like the romance plotline has faded a fair amount and a yakuza drama plotline is taking over lol. Hard to put my finger on it, but there’s a sense of imbalance to the story because of that. In any case, for me personally Hyeonho is the most interesting character anyway, so I’m still curious enough to keep reading haha

Something about this story just makes me eat it up every time. The pacing, the art, getting to see details of their everyday life (like Kyuho’s career and the friendships that are important to him), the characters’ personalities are fresh, the author’s use of facial expressions and physical touch feels intimate.. always a fun read, definitely one of my faves

Something about this concept is so melancholic to me. I know the age part is controversial, but to me it’s reading more like: he wants his most precious person, who died tragically and unfairly, to be happy and well in every lifetime, and he’s kind of watching over him to help make that happen, while himself never aging and probably always lonely because of that. Makes my heart sad for him.
I’m soo invested in all the drama of this story, it’s one of the few BLs that I’m reading currently where I’m actually dying to know what happens next every week this and The Boundary of Delusion
