Yasuharu is really cute and i liked him as a character, Yuma is ok but at times he felt meh to me

...her skin color changes to the skin color (light skin color) she was suppose to have if she wasn't born with the darkness spirit king's blessing is pretty sad to see, even more so when people repeat the same thing every single update. Well i guess good riddance to the people who do not really care about the story but is just here because she is a dark skinned mc.
No that's understandable. I've heard the same and as a black person in today's times it really hurts to hear. I'm planning on going til just before the end tho because dark skinned characters are already rare but even moreso dark skinned female protagonists. At least that way I'll be able to preserve a nice story in my memory before it's ruined.
There a lot of people that started reading this due to cover of a dark skinned girl, myself included, cause they want to see some representation. It's already eh? enough that once again black skinned means bad person and they're gonna change that when she becomes "holy" That's colorist af
I feel like most people are just dropping bc they think the shift indicates favoritism from the author, and a mindset we didn't think they would have. I'm still gonna read this manga, but I also think it's disappointing (from the way it's phrased) how treatment changes after MC changes.

Even moreso when the artist changes her skin color in the "happy end" it's like saying that that was the problem all along and not people's perception of and attitude towards her when they saw her dark skin. That's just... Sad and wrong on so many levels.
Exactly there is no race of dark spirit wielders and she is the same race as everyone else in their kingdom. So no race of people are being discriminated its just a few had preconceived prejudices against the previous dark spirit wielder.
