I understand that fl wants to protecc ml but she plain murders the hunters. The killing of red fox wax traumatising, but damn. They just tought it was a fox, and ml also scares and dangers the village. They were also nice to fl, who instead of just leading them astray, she feeds them to a fing giant snake. Disliked this chap.

don't you think that is sort of a twisted moral? ignoring the fact that the beasts also kill each other and the people hunt animals for survival (food/clothes), the hunters killed the fox (from my pov) mainly out of entertainment, while she killed them as she fears they pose a threat to her beloved
and in that scenario I don't think she is wrong for that. It wasn't "just a fox", it was a living being and yes Dowhi scares the village but was he really a danger to them? or isn't that more about humans trying to justify their killing for their own benefit
Dowhi in my eyes couldn't care less about the humans (as long as they wouldn't harm her in any way) and is more focused on her and her not getting snatched away

Hunters hunt for a living too and not for fun. While its true that ml is not known as murderer amongst people, its just yet. Besides he is the one killing for fun and out of jelousy.
But obviously this comic portrays hunters and people in general as evil, and puts supernatural creatures on piedestal.
Either way, im rooting for this ship to sail, but fls cruelty just made her likeable less.

Why did Ines kill her child? If the soldiers were not ordered to kill them right away, I doubt they would be killed later on. Even if taken from her they might have lived a decent life far away. Her actions seem selfish and irresponsible to me.

Her child was born to a man with no money or title to his name. The chances of Luca having a decent life would’ve been slim to none in their society. Plus, Ines wasn’t in her right mind when she killed her child. Not only was she dealing with the grief of her murdered husband, she was terrified that she’d end up in a similar situation to her previous life. Was it right? Ofc it wasn’t and Ines has suffered so much guilt and trauma from killing her child.

If I'm not remembering wrong, after Emiliano was killed and Ines was taken back to her family home
Ines' father ordered Luciano to get rid of the child..Ines probably killed the child after hearing that. Don't know if the order entailed killing the child or giving it up to someone else but Ines also possibly imagined the worst possible and chose rather to kill the child herself instead of letting it live a tragic life.
The mother makes me sick
