The monochrome diary was really peak in the first place. The story was focusing on the MC's diary or plot because it's called monochrome diary in the first place right? It was the mc writing his feelings in his diary and telling to us of how he fall in love and how he show his feelings to his first love, the story focus should be them!
Okay sure you can add the uke back story about his traumatizing experience and how a shit hole his life is but the real thing is you shouldn't just focus on the uke misery and milk the fuck out of it. Instead let him develope a character development and cut ties with the people hindering his life but no! The author decided to make the story even more miserable and just focuses on it forgetting the story purpose!
Not to mention there's a lot of unnecessary scenarios that shouldn't be added or came back in the first place. Plus there's a really lot of plot holes in the story and not important background characters that just add salt in the wound it's a complete bullcrap.
The misunderstanding between the mc and the uke is a never ending loop too. I don't like the story nor I hate it but the way the author just focuses on the uke misery, and the mc being an idiot, instead of making both of them DEVELOPE a character development is just a clown show.

If this going to be an omegaverse at least make their role be opposite, omega should be the dominant one the in the foodchain and alpha is below of them all, and it would be unique if the alpha can conceive a child. Much better if both of them were alphas. Omegaverse was made to be in female gaze to like see men getting impregnated or being in reversed but this one is just complete bullshit.
It wasn’t made for that, omegaverse’s whole concept is for flexibility if that’s the story the author is telling. Like in this case the story was about “fated mates” from a different universe so they used that as a trope to bring them together. I’m not saying it’s a good story but I am saying that there’s no point in questioning the dynamic other than this isn’t what you wanted to read. Essentially the omgegaverse places anyone regardless of gender on the same status as long as their secondary gender is the same case being that; yes there could be a story of an alpha conceiving a child etc etc but that’s not the story the author wished to tell they instead used it as a means for their couple to unite.
