y’all have little reason to shit on riftan in my option cause this is literally what he meant like she would be exhausted from the trip and when they need her she might not be able to help because of her exhaustion. also realistically in this period ladies would literally never ever do this so him letting her come along on a dangerous journey was already a massive step, but yeah i understand he was unnecessarily rude towards her and that’s like the only reason y’all should be angry with him

Don’t get me wrong I’m not siding with him or anything but it’s really sad to see how much he liked her and how hard he worked for her all for him just to change his mind like overnight. Kinda proves that men usually like the chase
I actually wanna know what happend and why he changed his mind.
He always said, that haesoo became plain and boring, like it's not his fault or something.
I'm not siding with him either just kinda want to know what happened in his brain.
Poverty probably trashed him to the moon and back like it would to any other.
I’m wondering too. So far the author has not given a reasonable explanation imho. It’s like she just ruin his character to usher in the ML. Better if she had just off him, made the FL a widow finding new love.
For now it seems like there is no reason. I hope there is a reason and hopefully nothing like infertility/miscarriage (can be a reason, but a woman can't do something about that sometimes, but we don't know more about that right now, sadly).
But yeah, I agree if the author offed him and made her a widow finding new love, would also be a great storyline (maybe with the still holding on and bla.)
Probably too.
Maybe I'm thinking to much, but that would be so mean to haesoo. Because he made them poor and sometimes I think he is giving haesoo the blame for it.
That's why I hope there is a understandable reason (he is still trash even if it would be an understanable reason).
I feel like it started when haesoo couldn't bear a child and the debt he borrowed.
It would probably be an interesting end to their relationship if he actually goes back to what he once was back then but with out her in it anymore. Lifetime to Grovel but live on with his gargantuan mistakes. It's more interesting than him still being trash that gets killed in the end. I want to watch him repent and live his days in misery knowing what he lost but also move on.
I personally think that he might of just become used to her therefore she wasn’t a challenge anymore or like worth his time so he wanted someone more energetic hence meaning someone younger
