So I had stopped reading at chapter 47 and now I’ve come back to catch up. I honestly can’t believe how my thoughts and feelings have changed. Obviously murdering Yeon-jo’s fam was wrong but Hee-ryang didn’t do it maliciously, he was ordered to. He had no choice. Again obviously Yeon-jo has every right not to care about that fact and hate him endlessly BUT I see something has changed for the both of them with how they feel about each other. Yeon-jo could’ve been killed Hee-ryang if he really wanted to. Hee-ryang was being a massive dick to our pretty boy at first but that has also changed. And sexy time has gotten better since both parties are enjoying. Um that scene with them doing it when it rained during their walk Honestly I’m hoping they can work things out and end up together. Help each other evolve and heal from their past traumas and such. Just my opinion! Can’t wait for the next update!
I think it’s hard to come back from killing his whole family and it wasn’t an accident, but at tte same time, for that time period, if your lord told you to kill our own family you did it, because that was your duty.
This story wouldn’t work if set in modern times because there would be no justification whatsoever, but based on the time period, there is a little leeway.
Yeonjo could still fall in love with him and not be able to forgive him. Heeryang could fall in love with Yeonjo and know that Yeonjo would never forgive him for ruining his life.
And they could love each other and still not get their happy ending because life is more than just love.

Lol…people read things and use modern standards to measure motivations and/or actions. This is supposed to be a historical setting and life has never been fair, but definitely was a lot less fair back then so we can’t go judging character motivations and actions based on what we expect people to do or act in 2024.
People just need to remember that Heeryang did something awful to Yeonjo not because of anything personal but because he was duty-bound and that excuse may not hold water now, but what was he supposed to do? Not follow orders? For what reason? And at what cost to him? He didn’t know Yeonjo, didn’t owe him or his family anything. He was just told you need to do this because I said so.
Now hear me out, the art style really takes some getting used to and I still don’t know how I feel about it BUT the chibi’s are great!!
I’m enjoying this story so much! The plot is interesting and the characters are endearing and my baby love Clay is just a ball of sunshine. The main couple is so dear to me. We love communication in this house and omg the way they’re so mature and upfront when discussing personal matters between them is so refreshing! Also I can’t write this without mentioning Clay’s piercings

The fluff!!! The cover never gave away what a wholesome joy this was gonna be to read! I loved everything about this!!! Their size difference, their natural transition to a couple, their babies!!!!! Yeah the pacing was a bit fast but ahhhhhh this was a delight!
