He has change the future already, by accepting him has his boyfriend. At the beginning of the story he rejected him, hence, the accident as he ran away in shock to the boys confession. Which lead to his death. The writing is inconsistent. Trying to prevent his death? I thought once you accepted him there would be no death?! So confused??!
Yeah, they might've changed some stuff, but I don't think they can change one's faith just because of a mere change
