I thought this would be a story where the uke would just keep hurting other people but turns out, the people he hurt also hurt him in their own way which made all the hurting somewhat bearable for me. I never came to like the uke but I have nothing against him - we good.

Ngl, was only interested in reading this for the smut. I admit the smut is sexy but I still prefer bara bodies. And it took me a while to “like” the smut with Eunho bc maaaan the creator did not skimp on the smut with uke’s previous sex partners. I’m usually ok with seeing an MC have sex with others as long as it’s MEANINGLESS but HERE, the creator really showed the uke having sex with someone who loved him one-sidedly and a professor that he used to love. Man, seeing those and then seeing him have sex with the one he ends up with was really tough at first lmao.

Anyhoo, this was a pretty heavy read and I’m still not sure if the smut was really worth going thru all that pain since I don’t like reading heavy stories to begin with. Whatever, at least I’m done. Thank u, next!

...Kwon admitted he is changing because of Yoon? Yoon didn't catch onto it because Kwon is hard to read as usual and a bit all over the place. lol The way he couldn't help but softening towards Yoon no matter how he was feeling made me melt.

I also like how the author showed that others notice how Kwon cares for Yoon, and I think Yoon thought if others sees it, then, it must be true, and it IS true that he cares for him IMHO and probably fell for Yoon at first sight and doesn't know how to deal with it.

I think he was feeling guilty for wanting Yoon so badly when he is sick, and he didn't know how to express it, so he put it on Yoon. Literally, he is being swayed by his emotions now, and for someone who is a control freak which he seems to be, that can be a hard adjustment.

Even the ex was saying he was hard and cold, and I am guessing with her we didn't see him give in a lot which is why she is so bitter towards him. He can be extremely charismatic and alluring by being hard to get, but that can turn into the death of any relationship once you have nothing more than sex and bickering all the time.

I also liked that Yoon fought back a little there saying, look, you can say what you want without being this mean about it. I like that we see glimpses of a stronger Yoon when we least expect it. Kwon is probably used to a bunch of yes people who don't argue with him because he is so intimidating (but damn sexy too). Of course, then, in the end, he gave into him because who can blame him. :)

Hmm okay, i re read and re read it and i think many has bias while reading latest chapters. Do pay in mind that there indeed is a kind of coercion that happened although its not rape., its a hard pill to swallow but if you re read it,, Hayoung said he couldnt say no, he was just scared but he was abiding every demand matthew gave without utmost disgust or unwanted feelings like how readers felt. I knew most of you read manhwa/webtoon/mangas with rape so the lack of consent triggers everything. Which is what im glad that even after reading all that, you do not condone such behaviors. atleast i can rest assured that most of tou readers know of ”rape” being a wrong and immoral thing in real life. So even though this chapter didnt include rape, i was glad most readers reacted that way.

Anyway to begin explanation, (only theory before) but Matthew saying ”When we first met” to Hayoung confirmed everything.

Matthew was pining Hayoung ever since they first met. He was actually so calm and nonchalant being gentle all the time but he was slowly moving. Him being kind and considerate to Hayoung, him suggesting Hayoung to take his suppresant off is a double edge sword that helps hayoung and helps him move closer with him through the now/ earlier chapters unblocked pheromones. Even him learning Korean for Ian was a ploy to get closer to hayoung. You remember that ”Skit” asking if hayoung was seeing someone? in korean with the agenda of asking Ian? As if everything doesnt matter he seemed not to care when Jaeho and Ian reconciles as Hayoung noticed. Because Hayoung thought Matthew likes Ian.

Moving unto A/b/o part, alphas are possessive., its not an option, alphas are territorial which is far worse than merely possessive. If possesive people only cares about the ”person” they like, Territorial people cares about everything in and out, closer and far from the person they love. Terrtorial as a place means they usually most set up a boundary to keep the people they love in safety and themselves from going insane out of mad jealousy. And ”Territorial” is an alphas trait. Its a given. When youre looking for ”jealousy” trope, a/b/o is the deal because territorial alphas are part of the omegaverse world.

And then a rut, like heat is a massive craving. To other readers its an excuse for sex. But heat & rut in omegaverse dont want just sex lol. Heat and rut means the craving for marking, impregnating and claiming, not just one time but for their whole life. The sex part of it is mostly just the frontier, but its not the deal they were looking for. As of you know about alphas and omegas bond,, theyre not looking for sex because because of heat/rut,, they were looking for bond, their mates.

When hayoung was asked by Jaeho/Ian if he was dating someone, Matthew is literally physically there, barricading Hayoung. Most of the time he'd be gentle but alphas as territorial as they are will slip and show this. The author did show lots of territorial behaviord in the manhwa if tou hadnt notice.

And so, Matthew and Hayoung was almost establishing everything and here comes david, an alpha friend of hayoung which scrapes Matthew's hidden alpha side. In most a/b/o,, alphas are beast in sheep clothing with the person they love,, (this could be dangerous in real life, especially for girls ,, because we know, some happens without consent and just full load of perpetrators bullshit selfishness) Only a/b/o Omegaverse can tackle this in agood way because its a part of their world.

So then, A near rut Matthew came home with a near heat Hayoung with another alpha,, notice that the first thing Matthew asked is related with that “another alpha” in the room. Full of jealousy and near rut matthew triggers his rut early because of it and now Hayoung is on the floor, probably got affected and triggered his own heat (just probably, since it was clear that it was Matthew's (alpha) rut that we are seeing and not an Omega's heat (Hayoung's). Hayound didnt say no,, they already established their relationship unnamed at that and hayoung thought they were fwb. Although Matthew is scarier, Hayoung did oblige about everything Matthew asked (although it might be alpha's rut dominance) They were going at it almost nonstop.
