i love that isabella's parents are still significant figures in her life. i do love a good childcare story where the mc gets a new, better parent, but i also love when characters get closer for the parents they lost. too often, the dead parents are forgotten and all but replaced with the new caretaker. idk, i just appreciate it a lot ╮(￣▽￣)╭
