I feel that it will drag at this point. We all say that he forgave too easily but if it took an extra 10 chapters, we would say it's too much dragging. I think she's trying to show growth of the relationship, by them healing being together vs DG being mad at him for 20 chapters.

Doubt it seeing as they said the new term literally just started. But this is yaoi, who needs logic. Jiwon and DG can abscond from their jobs, not turn up to uni for days, weeks? Because they are in a Motel. Siwon can just disappear to China for months, no uni, no landlord, no parents, no friends or boss thinking "where the fuck did Siwon go?" or Siwon himself thinking of his outside world... cause in lezhin, yaoi logic just shows nothing at all exists outside the power of love.

It is a rather pathetic ending. Jiwon made some major fuck ups in their relationship, that could have led him to being imprisoned. He really needs to have a proper conversation about what led to his behaviour and show he is trying to change it. But no, the author is going with the slant that DG is physically dependent on Jiwon else he will become ill, Jiwon coming to the realisation that he apparently loves a guy he's only had sex with is enough, cause DG will just do anything "sunbae" wants because he is that desperate and has such little value for himself. DG repeating "I love you" over and over in this chapter was sad for his character, did he honestly forget the misery, abuse and rape Jiwon inflicted on him? Does he really think he needs to go back?

It's not even ending yet. Stop saying it's a pathetic ending when it's not ending.

The ending must be soon though, also at this stage in the plot you really would have expected more substance and growth, not just Jiwon cumming on DG's face.

Yep, the way the author has portrayed it is that they just have been having sex since the ' I love you". Really, is this the best the author could do in terms of rounding off the plot? One minute it's the busy start of term, DG also working at the shop at night, and then suddenly they are in a hotel for days, weeks even? Why not flesh out this time gap, show things an explain things that are a little more important than Jiwon coming on DG's face and DG showing he literally has no self worth. Where are the proper conversations, where is showing them out and about in their normal daily lives acting like a normal couple and showing normal non-sexual affection like holding hands or socializing with each other at uni? Are they just going to hide they are together from everyone, with everyone still thinking they are straight? Wouldn't Jiwon's boss be contacting him as to why he has stopped broadcasting? Maybe address the practicalities of this, like a loss in income and having to end thing with the fans? Honestly we know this is just going to end with some cliche date with a late birthday cake and Jiwon throwing his mask away in dramatic yaoi fashion.

Sigh, I feel like all Korean yaois kind of start amazingly but I have yet to find one that truly carries through until the end. That's a pity considering how much potential BJ Alex had. I still think it's great and the art is beautiful, just not as great as it could be.

It does come off as most lezhin webtoons just focus on the run up to the "confession" and primarily on sex, often non-consensual. Throw in a lot of drama, miscommunication and fanny's your aunt. Very rarely do they show life as a couple, for the characters and the people that surround them after this. It is very shallow writing, that completely glosses over anything substantial or relative to the realities of life the characters would face after the "I love you". Maybe the author might surprise us all and have Jiwon and DG together at uni, with Jiwon introducing DG to his friends as his partner... doubt it though.

In my opinion, Lover Boy is very good from the beginning till the end. It's the best manhwa I read so far, and the only one that didn't have a rushed, weird or stupid ending.

Dark Heaven's ending was great

Dark heaven showed marriage, but it still was set in a 'fantasy" setting rather than relating it to a more tangible environment. BJ Alex we know is set in Korea, ditto Lover boy. They blend in realistic aspects such as military service etc so having a comic with such a "realistic" setting to actually cover 'realistic" aspects of gay life in the country, bar just smut, such as the laws, such as social tolerance/or lack of it would make for a better tale. In Lover boy for example, it ended with a proposal, but the characters can't actually get married, what would their feelings be towards this, what legal security would they put in place instead, what would the consequences of not being able to get married be etc... the extra chapters of lover boy I feel were disapponting, as it never really explored anything of substance, instead it was mostly smut and the cliche insecurity trope.

Author missed out the important stuff like the fan culture and the backlash of their fave idol missing a broadcast and no longer being "available"

Honestly, as long as it ends with both of them coming out the closet, and telling their family and uni mates they are a couple. Instead of the plot glossing over this, and any possible challenges.

They're Korean, there's no way that's going happen. Maybe a friend or two, but coming out is just not safe, especially with how terrible Jiwon's family is, and who knows how DG's family would react with how conservative they're shown to be. Coming out is not always necessary to living a good life, especially in hyper-conservative cultures, that would make life worse for most people in those cultures.

As much as I want to see some sex, for 61, I want a talk between the two (if being a couple is the direction the author is taking it now). Just going straight to sex would be a step backwards for them, they could talk after sex, but it'd be more wholesome sex if they talked through their issues even just a little bit like a good couple would do. There's a lot of clarification that needs to happen on both sides.
