I also started reading because people were bashing Lee Min ho's casting as yu jonghyuk and I've read the whole webtoon in one day I will continue reading novel too but I still don't get the hate as to why they don't like the casting apart from the age gap factor

people who read the novel and then manhwa (or vice versa) have a very specific image of yoo joonghyuk. he is very, very handsome, pretty tall and has a RBF which contributes to his already intimidating personality, aura etc etc. YJH is the main character (i might be getting the exact term wrong, feel free to correct me) alongside dokja. so when the live action casts an actor that decidedly does not fit that image of a very significant character, people are reasonably upset.
live actions already usually don't have a very good reputation, though i think that might be more in the west than anything.
regardless, i would suggest don't have any high hopes for the LA. even if LMH is a phenomenal actor and portrays YJH perfectly, they will still find a way to fuck something up. it always happens in live action.

People who think LMH doesn't fit only think that way because they actually haven't seen him cityhunter or faith I especially connect YJH to LMH in faith as he was also very depressed and always ready to die and I will watch LA because I know it's interpretation instead of the exact same thing they just have to do well in not making it romantic at all plz

I have watched CH and faith too, but nah. But it would have worked if the cast for dokja was shorter. I too was happy when I saw LMH being JH at first but when I saw the cast for DK I was straight up, no. Either change one or change the entire cast. Individually they are splendid actors but when all of then are being put together, idk what but something doesn't feel right. It wouldn't have been any problem if they storyline was of other project. But for ORV... no, it isn't adding up. It is all over the place

I am at chapter 200 of the novel I have more problem with KDJ cast ahn heyon seop is good actor but no way in hell he could be called ajushi and he doesn't give single parent of four vibes at all
