How I love all these psychological tendencies between them, this unresolved sexual tension without sexual tension.
This is some kind of super-intimate, super-sexual codependency and desire for each other with some of the most honest and sincere pieces inside themselves.
In case you forgot the hell is happening, I tried to describe the plot so far (correct me if I lost something):
We have a blond sociopath—a psychopath—is utterly obsessed with a boy bearing a scar on his face. His own family practices shamanism and rituals, yet he alone is blind to the spirits, unable to perceive or connect with them.
The scarred boy possesses a supernatural gift: he can see ghosts and spirits and allows them to possess his body. This ability made him a brilliant actor.
A gangster, who has always been in love with the scarred boy's older brother, used to follow them around in their youth. His initial role was to extort money from them, but it evolved into something else—he became their unlikely protector and supporter.
The older brother, a man who wears glasses, and the blond's uncle are also key figures.
The Plot.
The uncle, harboring a deep dislike for his nephew, one day forced him into a remote cave inhabited by a particularly malevolent spirit.
This spirit offered the boy a contract: it would grant his desires in exchange for a price. The blond's greatest wish was to be with the scarred boy forever.
Soon after, the scarred boy was involved a terrible accident that left his face scarred and ended his acting career.
Another of the blond's desires was to become him (?). And so he did—he became a hugely famous actor, landing premier roles.
The narrative also weaves in the concept of the red string of fate—the thread that, according to Chinese legend, connects two destined souls by their pinkies.
Originally, the scarred boy's red thread was tied to the gangster's. But the malevolent spirit's interference severed that bond. Now, his thread is tied to a black, rotten one—belonging to the psychotic blond.
Throughout this haunting, the spirits subject the scarred boy to sexual harassment. The blond, unhinged by his obsession, commits heinous acts under the guise of helping him.
A secondary character, another actor, also becomes entangled in this web.
The core of the story is a tragic revelation: the scarred boy finally falls in love with his tormentor, only to discover his most terrible secret—that he was the architect of his ruin. In the devastating aftermath, he flees and blonde desides to make one last, terrifying new pact with the spirit, setting the stage for an unspeakable horror to unfold.

-I was under the impression that this left off with one of them getting into a car accident because of this random side character who was jealous or something but I can't even remember how that correlates to what's happening in season 3 currently (or maybe it's not relevant to the plot?)
-is Blondie in a coma or something? Cus why was scarred boy at the airport at the end of season 2 (I genuinely did read this but like it's been so long)

Let me make a guess based on the first third of this new chapter.
1. "I don't know if you'll be able to reconnect with your destined rare, but you'll definitely be able to with someone" - I'm willing to bet money that the gangster will end up in a relationship with the megane-hyung he's been hanging around with for how many years now ("you didn't like me", oh, come onnn)
2. after he somehow mystically destroys the thread between the main characters - they will finally have a chance at a normal relationship with each other without all this crap
3. the blond guy who's gone completely nuts will be saved by Big True Love
Just yesterday I remembered this manhwa and was wondering - where did it go? And voila - an update.
In fact, it's even funny how the author is like: oh, I'm tired of drawing them as 14-year-olds for 10 years, time to skip ALL THE MAIN EVENTS OF THE PLOT THAT LED TO DRAMAS AND OTHER IMPORTANT EVENTS IN THE FUTURE (see Chapter 1) and just enjoy the side story after the final credits.
to be fair i think all the very beginning stuff with jian yi being a drunkard and stuff is no longer canon. the actual story of 19 days starts at chap 43, and we do have all the lore, beside some precursors of him being on the supposed island
Yes, I agree that the original idea was greatly developed, the characters changed dramatically, and Mo wasn't even in the plans at first. But as for the plot and lore... we still have no information about where our conventional brothers disappeared to for several years, only to return later.
I thought I was crazy because these last chapters make me think I missed something and leave me confused. I'm glad you said there really is no information yet
yea, because jian yi disappeared before the story started and explains it in a vague way. then he tian disappears afters high school just saying he went to make money. keeping it vague as well i do wish we got more and maybe will later as we’re actually not too far into the timeskip stuff arguably. but the main story took ten years to develop who knows how long it’ll take…
I have a serious suspicion that the author simply hasn't figured out what happened there and why, and is in no hurry to figure it out. Zero percent condemnation, one hundred percent understanding.
