Both dumb and kind of good at the same time. I’m not a fan of this premise (and it’s not an uncommon one), but this kid keeps getting sucked into the lie in more or less very realistic steps (or realistic based on the antecedent of the behavior). I’m impressed with that.

Edit (two seconds after I made my comment): the whole thing with the predatory math teacher is super creepy! But it does make sense (or is realistic) that these kids see it as a romance rather than the power-imbalanced, abusive relationship it is. Bleh.

Same vibe as 19 days, with less emotional depth.

Basically a philosophically minded, tension filled downward, depressing spiral. We already know the ending is going to be depressing *cries to self in an unoccupied corner of the internet* ...why did I do this to myself
