Nah man this is great story. A single woman who isn’t as smart or talented as her sister did everything in her power to help her. She fooled the fools, yet everyone intelligent enough saw through her cause as she said herself, she’s mediocre compared to Iora. This is not a story where the villainess is the greatest, it’s a story where a single woman suffers alone for so long to make sure the person closest to her heart gets a better life.
You just don’t appreciate the thought and planning and oversimplify everything.

Not to mention, all the smart people and adults "who noticed from the start" still did net zero to improve the situation while she was spinning her heels

Yeah, they just ignored everything and it was said in the manga that they did which also angered the main character. They did not even try to stop her from walking the path of doom even when they knew it was happening. They just waited for the finale where the villainess was ready to die.

couldn’t have said it better no lie, this isn’t a OP villainess story with them knowing the story line and what to do, she’s literally just a girl trying to fool the people who are making the person closest to her suffer. She’s not smart, she even knows that herself lmao, it’s enough to fool the people that r hurting her sister who she treasures and that’s enough.

also siscon holy moly she literally wanted the marquess to marry her sister and have her have a happy life bc MC thinks her sister has suffered enough in her past, she treasures her sister but isn’t romantically involved with her in any way

Exactly!! It’s simple sibling type of love, not romantical in any way. I do have many siblings as well and goddamn I do wish for them to have the happiest lives even if I don’t physically show it to them <3

Ive reread it twice, and it still doesn't vibe with me. In my OPINION, mc is still crazy obsessive with her sis (not in a romantic way duh) and everyone is also equally bonkers. hence the joke title of the topic

Also, the defense of "her sister suffered enough from the past", who do you think enabled said suffering? I think its that unnecessary long drag of "abuse" and "harassment" in the name of sisterly love plot peeved me.

The mc did enable the heroine’s abuse in a way, yes, but did take care not to threaten her healthy life. Ofc these people are bonkers, but as I said the mc said herself she wasn’t smart enough to think of any better way to protect her sister. She thought it was the best way for her to suffer now and have a happy ending later on, just like a novel. She wasn’t strong enough to save Iora by outright supporting her, she thought it’d end badly.

But I do get what you’re saying. I agree now, yes, the mc is obsessed with her sister. She even gave up her entire life and childhood to protect her. Thanks for clarifying your statement, I just did not like how you branded her as a siscon when she clearly wasn’t one. She just went too far with her overprotective sibling love. But I do like these kinds of stories, where people selflessly care for another person. It shows how far a human can go with their obsession, I like the psychology behind it lol ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I did not like, however, how everyone ignored the mc and allowed her to suffer as she thought she was to die right then and there. Ignorant pieces of crap, thinking only of themselves and feeling smart for seeing through her schemes~
Iora wasn’t any better, even when she understood what her sis was doing she did nothing to stop her from ruining herself. The only likeable character here is the mc lmao ヾ(☆▽☆) I wonder how it’ll go, will the mc accept the duke’s proposal or will she realise everyone is shitty, not worth her attention? The story isn’t finished so we’ll see! I truly, truly hope it won’t end in the basic way. I hate every single man in this story (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
