He will become Duke in the future and dukes can sometimes be next in line for a throne if they are somehow affiliated. That's why people call him prince as well. With the temple stuff, in the future it basically caused the downfall of her family and country so she is trying to prevent that from happening and what she was saying was an observation. Although I dont understand it cause of the weird translation
