Matsuri is lame

I disagree, but nonetheless:
The chapters (chapter 7 to 9 I believe) in which Matsuri is the rival are actually pretty good. However, to claim that Matsuri is an 'interesting character' based on these chapters and the rest of citrus is a blatant, blatant, blatant falsehood. Sure, she does a good job at being an unlikable villain, and sure, some might consider her to be an entertaining character, but she is not even remotely interesting. We learn from them that Matsuri likes to mess with peoples' lives. And that she's childish. And nothing else. Under a different, better writer, we could've gotten some nice character development from that arc, but instead we got Yuzu and MEI OF ALL PEOPLE ignoring the bad things Matsuri did and just being friends with her. Sure, there was one conversation where Yuzu challenged Matsuri's beliefs, but that accomplished nothing more than Matsuri being like "yeah, whatever" and not actually changing at all.
Admittedly, I stopped reading this story around chapter 24 or so, so maybe Matsuri does something else I'm not aware of. I only commented the initial comment in the first place because I read the newest chapter and saw Matsuri saying she was going to 'get her revenge on Mei'. But as far as I know, she's just demoted to extra after her arc.

You use the phrase "the rest of Citrus", but then admit that you stopped reading four volumes ago. Read the rest up until now, then come back to me. Without spoiling too much, the "get revenge" thing has more to do with the fact that Matsuri knows that Yuzu is in love with Mei, but feels that Mei isn't good enough for Yuzu (or rather, that Yuzu is too good for Mei), for story-important reasons revealed in Volume 9.
Ploy and Ice's banter is so fun to read.
