i think thats most likely the author’s intention or at least something like that, but i think its more so that its just a bit uncomfortable even when its not intentionally trying to be weird. idk if that makes sense

this has a very interesting premise. i’m over here hoping that previous loneal had more to him besides just pining over lily and wanting to kill alec. i feel like it would be very interesting if loneal and alec had previously interacted in a meaningful way? like is the only reason he wanted alec dead bc he loved lily? previous loneal has potential to actually be an interesting character. the angst could go crazy here but i dont think that’s where this story is gonna go (-_-;)
Some theory from comments suggested that Loneal might know more than the story let on, and that Alec might be a danger to Lily and Loneal was just trying to protect her and the only way is to kill Alec
ooh that is an interesting theory. alec did seem surprised that he was able to use water magic all of a sudden? it’s plausible, that he’s stronger than he thinks and there’s also that ominous story about the black wolf that he avoided talking about w the current loneal. i wonder what that’s all about. hoping they delve more into it in the later chapters!
oh and there was also that voice speaking to him in his head! alec’s got some stuff going on
