wait I'm confused with the time EL met semes. 10 years ago but looks like a kid in 10yo, 20 years ago but looks like an adult
I believe that the times skips are based on their kids age. In reference to the 10 year time skip the kid was still a small child but for the 20 year time skip the child was now a teen so more time passed therefore creating the gap
