The guy is genuinely just a freak. He never loved her and he never wanted to love her. The only reason as to why he’s so obsessed with her is because she didn’t behave exactly as he wanted and he felt like he was “losing out” on her and he didn’t fully have her. Even if he admits he loves her now, it’s his delusional ass. He just needs to label and justify his obsession with having everything in life and losing nothing. Their relationship would not have improved with communication. With proper communication their relationship would’ve never happened.
