He literally looks so unbothered when he’s revealing the fact that she’s his kid. I don’t care if it turns out he’s secretly deeply caring or he’s been hiding his fatherly love for her or whatnot. Like he genuinely does not look like he could care any less about his so called long lost daughter. Justin Beiber cares more about Hailey Beiber than this man about his own fucking daughter

A lot of the times art style changes are so disappointing but honestly I think it suits the tone of the story now. Like before the simpler art style was cute but now it feels more serious now that we’re uncovering more serious parts about Jesse’s story.

Damn I just feel bad for both sides. Honestly a reasonable crash out from the ML. She obviously “didn’t remember” but before she regained her memories she was acting hella sketch by hiding from him. And when he questions her, she doesn’t consider the idea of being intimidated despite the very handcuff shaped bruise around her wrist?? Both sides are just sad
He’s a fucking waste of skin, he’s a shitty emperor and a shittier father. He’s shown no redeeming qualities and just because he has a sad backstory the mc should just forgive him?? Yeah sorry about the years of neglect, suck it up, he’s got a dead wife
The mc has like no redeeming qualities?? She’s only capable of jealousy and self pity. The concept of an ugly duckling is much better executed in Shrek or The Duke’s Secret Maid, but hopefully the author has a reason for making her so unlikeable
