A mess. Incredibly captivating……. still a mess. Gets good after the first 30 chapters or so, but the last 30 are almost completely unbearable. I have sooooo many issues with this story that I could go off on a tirade about, instead I’ll sound off on just a couple for now:
- The main couple’s relationship. The way they first met, the way Yuri treated Jaerim all the way up until he kissed him the first time, when Jaerim tried to set Yuri up with the former student council president (misguided but not terrible) and Yuri ASSAULTS Jaerim and that’s how Jaerim develops or perhaps recognizes the romantic feelings that he has toward Yuri (????), the way Yuri treated Jaerim during the entire time he was dealing with his former ugly best friend being back (hurt ppl hurt ppl or wtvr), and not to mention Yuri at first assuming Jaerim was cheating on him after seeing him being assaulted then realizing he might be wrong, throwing a punch getting knocked down and essentially saying Jaerim can never leave him ???? Did I get everything? Don’t get me wrong I, against my better judgment, somewhat enjoyed the chapters they were happy together but there were like max. ten of those? And the rest of the story they're, once again, miserable, up until the like ONE chapter that they’re happy again at the end.
- And then the side couples???? The only one I really would’ve somewhat liked to see more of was Yurim and Dohoon, although they had a horrific start as well, my goodness. The former student council president and the orange haired boy were both terrible ppl but I would’ve preferred to see more of them than that archer and the yellow haired boy?? Are you kidding me? I don’t understand why they were included to begin with, they had virtually nothing to do with the main characters, the archer boy should’ve never associated himself with the yellow haired boy, let alone end up with him. But they get the LAST TWO CHAPTERS???? Don’t piss me off.
