I have read the previous series (Ghost Hunt) manga's tankoubons years ago, and feel really glad I found this sequel.
I remember the end of previous series left big hole in my heart since I wish Mai ever get chance to talk/see Gene as Gene (and not as Naru), but it didn't happen. But then this sequel filled that empty hole :')
Also finally Gene managed to meet Naru, it feels like closure, I can't ask more. That ending is perfect with Hirota and Mai's convo, to show how Hirota has changed and how Mai seems content with her life. Def 10/10 manga.
And btw the extras are so cute! ♡♡

Completely agree. (I even read the series years ago as well)
But in an interview, the author said that she dislikes happy endings, thus most of her works have sad endings.. So, I truly wonder as of why they made this continuation with this ending. Don't get me wrong, I liked the closure, but from what she said in that interview, it doesn't seem like something she would write.
Wonder if she had a change of heart?

I love how they show Hirota and Mai in the end, to show how Hirota changed, and how Mai seems content with his life. The ending is perfect, 10/10 rate manga (but still if sensei wants to continue it, I will be so glad).

Wow this is disturbing content covered by cutesy. I am curious to see more (I hope I'll not regret it tho).
I just hope Shindou can help Toshio, it's beyond cruel if he made Toshio realizes his life is horrible (by teaching him moral sense) and leave him like that. Btw Toshio's dream ugh so fluff it makes me sad knowing the real situation.

At this point Kyujo has the most interesting character development (a jerk that becomes better man) somehow I can't ship him with Araki knowing Araki is a bitch (this chapter still doesn't change my mind about Araki) :/
Kyujo needs someone better.

Im afraid that we gonna get some cliche sad backstory...and Arakis personality gonna turn 180 degrees over few days. And he after all his misgivings wont face aby punishemnt and gets what he wants...because he will start to act sweet, kind and warm.
Not my cup of tea tbh.

From what I have seen majority od readers prefer Kyujo with Sakurai but from this chapter its rather clear that it aint happen q.q

Kyujo does deserve better he deserves the cute Barista at the cafe he met in this chapter

I want them to meet again!!
Now Alex...APOLOGIZE!
