I think Byul is going to crash at Siwoo's house during the heavy storm is now approaching
Byul is a kid and doesn’t know the full story. He just sees a sweet very old lady being abandoned by her family. I think his parents should have talked with him since the beginning and explained why they cut ties with her.
Seeing an elderly person suffering, it is normal to empathize with them, it is even human.
I didn’t read the prequel but by the comments I understood what happened. Parents should tell their kids instead of just ignoring the issue. Of course it was normal for Byul being curious.
I just finished reading the side story and ..
They are fluffy. They fuck a lot, probably half of the side story they are like rabbits. The uke continues being a tsundere.
Basically, their routine is: wake up, Seoon works at the Ministry of War, Jihan stays at home, waits for Seoon to come back. The ML helps him to study for his exams and they fuck and go to sleep.
Jihan feels lonely and anxious. Not sure why. I think he is worried that seme regrets the end of his engagement.
There is a new character , let's call him "Y" that goes uninvited to the house and starts trouble with Jihan (the MC) and notices that there is something special between the brothers. He is the one that introduced Seoon to the former fiancee. Seoon was the one that asked him to be introduced. (in the main novel, Seoon (ML) wanted to take everything from Jihan, specially his fiancee)
"Y" wonders why Seoon stopped pursuing the fiancee so sudden and now he is just clingy to his older brother. Also "Y" comments about the past of Jihan, saying he was known to be a party person and now he is confined inside the house. Actually, the MC wasn't a party man, he just went with his friends and kept drinking without interacting.
Seoon gets angry at "Y" and puts him in his place. They continue to be acquitances.
I don't know who has the idea, Seoon or Jihan, but they decide to go to a pretty place for a break, with "Y" as a guest. Of course, they fuck everywhere, in the bath, in the lake, etc. Jihan is kinder and less of a tsundere and shows more affection to Seoon.
At the end, Jihan tells ML that "He hopes to see him soon" aww he is more straightforward with his feelings.
I translated with google so maybe there are mistakes.
And the father? I guess he doesn't know his sons are gays.
Unfortunately the side story is not in booktoki. I had to buy it directly in R!d!books

As Hyesung mentioned "Byul is a good kid". Yes, Byul is a good kid that sees an elder woman struggling and being abandoned. It is easy and human to emphatize with old abandoned people. He does not realize everything that the woman has done to his father, because that happened long time ago and also because he is a teenager. In that case, his parents should have explained why they cut ties with her and the pain that she caused the father/mother (I don't know anymore).
People asking for Hyesung to abandon Byul, sorry but I don't approve. In that case, Dojin should be responsible.
Should she be forgiven? No. But there should be a better communication in the family.
I had a similar experience as Byul but at least they informed me about all their problems beforehand. Of course this is fiction and miscommunication is the best way to cause drama and make Byul be with Siwoo.
upvoting this bc finally a decent comment & who defo understand byul! ppl calling this betrayal doesn't sit right with me bc what does byul know??? he won't understand why his father hate his grandma til they explain it to him, bc for him, his grandma is nice & treats him well... hope ppl would cut him some slack, he's still a kid
I think he knows and is aware of the basic stuff, but still, he is just empathizing because he knows the "guilty sweet grandma" that changed and not the first version. He doesn't see the magnitude of the pain Hyensung suffered.
