I don't see it on the same level, it's just not the same. Hurting yourself to get attention is genuinely not only a red flag but a sign of an unhealthy relationship.
It shows a deep level of insecurity in not only your partner but also yourself. While I'm not saying it's unfixable, it definitely isn't a good sign. I hope it comes to light and Andrew is more honest with the MC about his insecurities
