I always find it funny when in novels they have one trait from each parent (eye color, hair color), but in reality, some people have a mix of both, even skin tones. I know not all countries have a high incidence of interracial marriages and children, and it shows in the writing.

There is just something about Ash that's so damn suspicious. Like the scene where he talks to his coworkers, he says that horseshit but like later during the chasing arc he mentions the reasoning behind it (which 100% makes sense honestly too good to be true coming from an omegaverse yaoi). But his deadpan facial expressions is what completely ticked me off. Vro just said "he aint the huzz" with the most straight serious face after fucking him in every non-vanilla way possible. ANYWAYS during his rut it seems like he is more honest compared to his usual self (this is just my pov he might just be an exceptional alpha with diff rut cravings). Being in a rut imo is similar to being drunk and seems like Ash is more honest during his rut. That just rubbed me off the wrong way because Karlyle tries his best to be honest. You're so righttt, but i feel that's partially because the author chose to cut some parts of the novel, especially about how ash was in love with nic in the beginning and the part where ash explains that he always had to smile while growing up because otherwise his stepmother would pick on him, so that's why he is always smiling even when pissed off
