Im surprised that the relationship between the girl nd ML was never mentioned by anyone or the MC offhandedly didnt hear of it like back when they were in Highschool. Or even with the MC sister.
No, cuz it is 100% on purpose to seem "misleading" but in reality they probably never dated or they are related or something. I've seen this plot so many times I'm not even annoyed I just paciently wait for it to pass knowing the truth from the beginning
It will be revealed much later why the mc is addicted to the “painkillers” or “antidepressants” . Its rly fked up nd triggering. It also shows a little bit why the mc mental health is so messed up.
And in the book it was said to be Ketamine, which is an experience….I can’t even imagining taking regularly, so it’s no wonder he’s a bit delusional.
