This is a lovely manhua! I'm so glad I found it by chance. I am in complete awe of the art; the colors, the shadows, how it captures lighting and the details of the clothing specifically the ornate lines of the dresses and hairpins/ decorations. My hat goes off to the artist because they are doing a fabulous job!!!! ^^
And the story is just as amazing and compelling. I was engaged from the very first chapter and now I'm craving for more!
The main female character is refreshing. She's smart, clever and not weak at all. Although the Emperor was iffy at the beginning, I'm starting to see a shift in character, his development is slowly coming along. I only hope that his growing feelings toward her are sincere.
This was such a great read! I'm utterly floored with emotions. I absolutely adore the art and the panels. I love how the story flowed and paced itself. It was the perfect length, nothing dragged but also nothing felt rushed. I am in awe.
I can give this nothing but 5 stars and I highly recommend it to everyone!!^^
