Who was in the wrong? I’m kinda confused. It seems like Mangago but I don’t want to falsely accuse the wrong team..

it's obvious, isn't it? It's Mangago whose in the wrong. (they'll probably delete this, lol)
EXR has a rule to upload their projects 12 hours AFTER they've uploaded it on their site. Why? Because Mangago uses ads to collect revenue when all these mangas the scanlators upload are supposed to be free. So basically, they're using scanlator's free work to make money. EXR knows this but they're kind enough to allow uploading of their projects here, all they ask is to follow their rules but Mangago can't even do that and tbh the person Addis talked to seemed like such a jerk.

If I could play Devils advocate for a bit. You’re completely right, mangago makes money from ad revenue. It’s their purpose to make money so they’re in competition with other sites that are also trying to make money. When the bigger site is allowed to post an update first, it kinda screws over he smaller site. If there is a rule then it should be applied to all the sites. Maybe have a complete block on it for 12 hours. The rule should be respected by everyone and should be enforced on everyone. Realistically we’re asking people (mangago) to short change their pockets because it’s the right thing to do (which it is, please don’t misunderstand me) but that’s completely unrealistic and a little unfair. No I am not a mangago admin, just a reader who can think on both sides

In just a day.

1. "Maybe have a complete block on it for 12 hours. The rule should be respected by everyone and should be enforced on everyone." - if you go to EXR's FAQs page, it's written they use mangarock for viewers that don't want to download the file from their website. So yeah, mangarock is used as alternative so that readers like you and me can access stuff more easily which leads to, maybe it is EXR themselves who share they work with mangarock. I mean if I've worked on something I have the right to restrict it's distribution, right?
2. "When the bigger site is allowed to post an update first, it kinda screws over the smaller site" screws over? excuse me, but does this site pay for their raws or help them in anyway that they deserve the money? Is someone stopping them from uploading when they don't even use this website to host their projects? NO, all they have to do is follow the rules.
3. "No I am not a mangago admin, just a reader who can think on both sides" you think I've not seen this from both sides? tbh, everybody over here is thirsty for updates, hardly anyone gives a rats ass about requests of scan groups/scanners, which, speaking from the perspective of someone who has worked on scanlations, is pretty discouraging. And then you have an admin of a site that hosts your work (which you did for free and didn't give permission to post ) so that they don't loose out on money go "if you don't care, neither do other site." ,how would you feel about it? They could have been a little polite, like man you're hosting someone else's project and you're acting as if you're the one who worked on it.

1.) To be honest, I didn’t know that. I thought manga rock was it’s own site, thank you for educating me in that aspect. Yes, it’s is up to the scanlators to distribute how they see fit.
2.) Yes, screws over, and you’re excused. They get money from ad revenue from a website they built and make it convenient for readers like you and I to find mangas translated by different scanlation groups so yes, they earned the money. They’re doing their job.
3.) No I don’t think you’ve seen this from both sides, you’ve made it abundantly obvious actually. In my post, I blatantly say that following the rules is the right thing to do(on the side of the scanlation group) mainly followed with an argument for mangago as most arguments are against mangago. That’s what devil’s advocate does. No it’s not nice, yes it’s all business so I do apologize to the acanlation groups who are not appreciated or respected by sites like this one. You’re talking about feelings and I’m talking about business. Also I didn’t mention the mangago admin and I should have. They were very rude and extremely impolite. The scanlation group is completely within their right to remove their scanlations from this site.

I've already mentioned that it may seem like I'm hating on mangago but don't get me wrong, I really like how well this site is managed and stuff but a little respect wouldn't hurt, right? THAT WAS MY MAIN POINT.
And if we're talking about business, it's 12 hours not 12 years. There are hundreds of mangas that are uploaded here. Waiting to upload one wouldn't even matter that much.
I myself used to upload a thousand cranes raws here, they used to take half a day to upload them, sometimes more than that. They used to do it then, they can do it now.

If we’re talking about business then 12 hours is still detrimental. That’s 12 hours of ad revenue they’re not getting, which when it’s the only source of income on a site like this is a big deal. The other mangas don’t matter, it’s the following that matters and this manga is heavily followed. Logically speaking it would be imperative to upload these as quickly as possible because the readers who follow the manga will find it somewhere else before mangago could maybe get to it. Again in this scenario they’re losing money.
You and I agree on the respect aspect. The admin that Addis spoke to was beyond rude and disrespectful. Rules should be followed, etc. To be honest if money wasn’t involved I’m sure this rule would be followed with no issue but money is involved therefore there is an issue.
Also, caps lock is unnecessary, I can read just fine, I assure you.

You previously skipped the rude admin part though. That was my reason to use caps lock. Rather than bringing in new arguments and ellaborating them, i wanted to focus on that one. So yeah, caps lock was more like "see this is what i was trying to say all along"
This discussion won't go anywhere. You'll defend your points while I'll defend mine. Let's just agree on the admin was a jerk

Ok ok usws ads.but. as longas you are loggwd into your account, you gwt 0 (zero!!!) Ads. I legit have none as long asI stay logged in. Yeah when im not i get one after every page. And that's why I stay logged in. Sooo?? And also I do think that they are in the wrong, but morally speaking , scanlators to illegal stuff . like, scabning a manga and sharig itis kinda.... Illegal. Yeah, they translate and clean and maybe redraw by themselves. But gain, as long as it's not official and the author doesnt get anything from this, it's illegal.
Sorry for any grammar / spellin miatakes . im not gonna reread all that and check for any cause I bet i'm just going to make even more
Hm I will give it awhile more but it looks like it’s been dropped.
Yeah looks like it...
