I really really really really loved the first season up to the last couple of chapters
MC is already so traumatized by his upbringing that being abandoned would have been enough drama to provide a conflict between the two of them. In fact it would have been perfect since there was already precedence for it.
I can't even fully appreciate that they're actually pathetically attempting to portray PTSD because somehow this will have a happy ending where he ends up forgiving the man who raped him AND canonically was the trigger who set off a lifetime of trauma
it just really puts a bad taste in my mouth and I fucking hate it because this could have been top 5 and I keep reading because I'm hoping to get that feeling back and it's just...spoiled now
