Tbh I would like it more if we went through the trauma of mc being a slave, it legit seemed so odd how quick she moved on from pretty much living like that since she was a baby, like u could at least make her scared of adults or have trust issues or SOMETHING like that instead of "oh look my dad found me!!! Now let's put the past behind us and act like it never happened!!" like HU???
