I think what is happening is the story is going back and forth from the past to the future, I’m pretty sure all this wholesome future stuff is just the calm before the storm because we know from context something happens and he tian and jian yi both kinda either disappear or leave and red head and the brown hair (forgot his name ) don’t know why and they’re reunited in the future, so im sure we’ll get to see what happens soon
I was confused too but from the beginning chapters it kinda shows Jian yi coming back and the Christmas episode is he tian coming back so that’s why I’m pretty sure it’s switching between past and future
