Jaekyung does have a green side whether you like it or not. He does. And just so you know if Jk had any development earlier, that would be boring asf. I love the pace mingwa is using to make her story. I'm trusting the process and loving it at the same time, unlike y'all impatient folks who can't stand dark romance.

This is bl(BOYS LOVE-series, manhwa, novels) it can appear in any form of media. Yaoi(homoerotic relationship between males-series, manhwa, novel) can also appear in different forms of media.

All I'm saying is that y'all are making Jaekyung look worse than he actually is. In my opinion, Seungho(potn) was worse than Jaekyung. Y'all are portraying Jaekyung like he's the reddest in all of bl/yaoi community. Then yes, YOU are new to bl lmao.

All his "green" flags are like red herrings honestly. You think "yeah this time it'll change" but no he does something that completely contradicts whatever "nice" (emphasis on the quote marks) deed he has done. Every time he does something moderately "nice" it comes with a BIG catch I've noticed. Dan always needs to pay the deeds back twofold, ontop of already having a ton to deal with.

Not only that, his character arc is building at a snails pace. All his bad deeds are starting to pile up and tip the scale on whether he's even redeemable at this point.

Not going to shoehorn my opinion down peoples throats because we all like different things, which is perfectly fine, it just makes me sad that majority of manwhas I see lately are of toxic relationships. And I dont mean an incident or two, I mean just downright horrible stuff being written off later as "hiccups" and the characters ending up happily together.

Side note, this discourse is so unavoidable honestly. Everywhere I go I only see people talking about jinx like how did this become mangagos' boogeyman overnight.

There are so many fluffs but sadly majority of them don't get popular. I feel that's why so many authors stick with this trope cause it gets a lot of views. I also feel many are interested in this trope, not everyone wants green all the time, they need some sort of drama between the characters(toxic and violent crap). I'm interested in that too. I also agree with every other thing you said.

THIS IS THE ONLY PERSON I WILL EVER RELATE TO ON MANGAGO. because without plot twist, red flags, character development and other shit the manga is just gonna turn out like without any meaning. And dont yall just love when your reading a manga and theres a sudden plot (like main characters seperating from each other or one of them getting abducted etc.). it gives you extreme emotions and thats how they make the novel/manga good. Example: Pearl boy, painter of the night ,bj alex, under the green light, origin of species, etc.
