most of the new shounen mangas coming out recently always have protagonists that were made in the edgelord aura farming alpha male redpill podcast factory so its SOOO refreshing to see a new manga with a dude who has so much love in his heart. kind of reminds me of grown-up thorfinn in a way

the live action of this is one of my favourite films ever i had no idea it was a manga at first... the film is way better though in my opinion

volume 6 has already been released and there are 32 chapters out in total but only 28 are here? please the people yearn for more

with every chapter that comes out i can see fujimoto slowly losing it

i really want to see cirrus' redemption arc, i want him to grow and heal in the way that we can see skylar starting to. this whole series so far has been showing skylar's development as he is shaped and influenced both negatively and currently positively (yay) by those around him, but unfortunately the same can't be said for cirrus himself. we've seen skylar come out of his shell and slowly start to heal from his trauma by accepting his sexual orientation, but so far from cirrus its kinda just crickets.... i really like their relationship and how they can find so much peace and actual love within each other, but cirrus is just shown to be the one constantly making bad decisions. the only thing that we see from him is why he acts the way he does... but he doesn't change. he doesn't improve. and while we as an audience can empathise with him, i really do hope we can see his character develop and actually change for the better, for both his own sake and skylar's. i don't know how long this whole series is going to be or how far along it is right now but when that redemption arc happens and cirrus stocks go up just know i will be cashing out with a private island in the maldives ready for me

its actually so genius the way that this manga depicts hephaestion as a split personality of alexander rather than that of what we know their relationship was in reality... i was genuinely gagged when they revealed it. the reveal of alexander's "real" father through having the historical irl portrait of alexander morph into the guy olympia has an affair with was just so well done like i don't think there ever would have been a more perfect execution of that particular revelation. all the characters, even the side characters, have so much depth and complexities to them. also bruh eumenes is so great, he is so refreshing as a main character in the sense that his unique trait, rather than being his strength or his stoicity, is his intelligence instead. that's what makes it genuinely enjoyable to watch him go along his journey, even when he goes through a lot of shit. there is so much love in this story, and i'm not talking about romantic love at all, but instead the sort of love shown in charon's paternal feelings of love for eumenes, the love the village of boa shows eumenes, the love eumenes' mother had for him, and the love he shows the people around him. this manga is one that is quietly intelligent, its rather straightforward plot-wise but the attention lies in the detail and the subtleties of it all. what a great work.... i cant believe it hasn't updated since 2022. and the art being phenomenal too.... like this is a masterpiece and it should be just as popular if not more as vinland saga and kingdom etc
