Chapter 99-110, This parts was a lot more heartfelt in the novel. TT specially the reason why tingwei's parents had fallen apart while he was gone. In the novel, the only one keeping Wei-wei's family intact was him. His father's only focus in life was his research. He doesn't even know the birthday of his wife and son, nor does he remember his wife's favorite flower. Tingwei's mother had always put herself behind her husband and son's needs. Even if she didn't like something she'd keep it in because she wanted to be a good mom and wife. When tingwei disappeared, the only glue that kept their family intact also disappeared and everything went crumbling down. Wei-wei's mother blamed her husband for Wei-wei's accident and disappearance. Because it's the father that insisted on the blind date even tho both Wei-wei's mother and Wei-wei himself object to it the first time he brought it up. Tingwei's father has always been the violent type so sheet went down hill after his parents fought for the last time.
If I remember correctly, they fought because tingwei's father couldn't be bothered to look for Wei-wei anymore. Even assuming that Wei-wei only ran away because he hated the blind date and was being unfilial. He then also cut of Wei-wei's bank accounts and kinda said in the heat of the moment that it's best for them all if tingwei's actually dead, which is why the mother reached her limit and raised her voice and slapped the husband or something. The threw hands with each other and just cut it all off.
The time when tingwei saw his mother back in his original world his mother has yet to move on and is just slowly learning to live a life without tingwei in it, as the guy who gave her flower narrates to tingwei when he was helping tingwei out.
Wei-wei was aware that his parents didn't actually love each other and was just in the marriage because they happen to be a fated pair. He's also sorry that his mom has to give up her career, life and happiness just so she could support his son, it's why shen tingwei didn't call out for her and decided he didn't have a place in that world anymore. He wanted his mom to find her life back and he also wanted to be with Lian Jue more than to stay in his original world.

I get that seeing a carnivore go on a rampage is really scary, but not even a thank you? Really? Idk why he acts so damn like a damsel in distress in the first place if he doesn't want Asuka to do things in his way.
Violence is never the answer only in situations where the perpetrator could be reasoned out and don't do underhanded shit like kid napping and se xual ass ault.
What Asuka did was totally valid given the circumstances.
Ao telling Asuka 'i told you violence is never answer' as if blaming Asuka for the leopard clan's actions was so way out of line and rude of him.
The fact that those leopards kept wrecking havoc just as they please already rules out the possibility of fixing things out with only oral communications and good conduct. If Ao really thinks morals and values could fix things in their town, why didn't they call the police when his father gets ass aulted? Why didn't he filed a police report and press charges after getting abducted and almost r aped?
Ao is so unreasonably rude and plain dumb. Nothing more, nothing less.
