The way in which it portrays tumultuous relationships (not toxic, just realistic) is done with heartbreaking detail. A box of tissues is necessary for this particular read.
I really adore the first story, the first couples chemistry is undeniable and the way an abusive relationship is demonstrated in its full tangle of complexities that tie oneself to another is incredible, however.... I don't belive that that jerk deserves a sidestory. I realize that life doesn't end for the 'bad' guy when their victims find their own happiness outside of the ensnarements of the crueler party, but truthfully I dislike when Mangas center around the villians after the main story fades off. I just don't believe in redemption for rapist.
DNF, I hate this story so, so much, and I especially hate that it gets so much hype, I couldn't finish it after the first time ceaser was an absolute monster, no redemption, no apology, nothing. Bullshit story, hate hate hate.
