it was so detailed, i like this kind of writer who makes real effort when builiding their characters, world and events... still the writer is a female but the character is a male and most of the males don't give road instructions by mentioning locations and signs, it would be more of go 100 m that way, left, 50 m right and as so on... i don't comment on such things normally but this writer did an impressive work... and i'm not saying it's a mistake, and only most of men do this so maybe this character is one of the rare males who don't *i know we still did not get to see his naked body or inner body or that -he- has refered to him self as he yet* but this is yaoi and he looks like a male for me...

Yeah never heard of anyone male or female giving directions according to distance like 200 m or 50m or things like that, it's always been signs and locations, the way people give directions isn't gendered as far as I know. Even if some study said that men have a tendency to give directions with standard units of distance, doesn't mean every man would and it's not something to question whether they are actually a man or not. It's a matter of preference not biology.

I believe it's just cultural thing. I don't know how it worked for cars but it probably show tthe distance, the sale guy using bike, which I don't think he would have the habit to move by measure distance. By far, in my country which mostly use bike and I myself who commute by bike, I can't even know how far is 50m or 100m, I can only thing of how far by how long does it take.

Well, you're talking about female and male which they kinda confused that you thinks about gender, not cultural things. Like how you said 'because of the author is a female, most men don't usually this' which they feels you didn't means it as cultural things but gender.
And most people don't give direction like that regardless gender. It's doesn't matter whether they are female or male, most of them don't do that.

i'm very aware of that my self, i'm a female but i'd give instructions like the males in the study, but i trusted that readers of such manga are +18 and would know that to every rule there r exceptions and would focus on the main point of my comment which is to give sometime studying the subconscious behaviors of characters if based on gender... oh but well...
Well, if you want to study the behaviours based on gender of the character, it's could be unaccurate because some of authors would follow based on how they make an action according to their own experience, reference and observation such as how character put the cup back, how character hold the pencil and etc.. I don't thinks most of authors would know things as subconscious behaviours of human.
You can even see the reaction of the authors through us. We didn't even know it's based on gender and such.
that's what i'm saying, the author here was so detailed about the business yet not so detailed about everything...
now u know, so when u decide to write a character based on our world, think of making accurate representation , that if the character is sane, or u can crush this information when making a character based on anther world...
Obviously they don't know since they're thinking it's not important as long as they can make the main plots or motives detailed as they can. It's pretty much depend on their experience.
