i love the development from having a bad relationship as coworkers, to having heated tension, to begrudgingly falling to each other, to standing up and fighting for one another. this is the perfect enemy to lovers.
while he should've been honest in the beginning, i think yoomin could've also just straight on told that she eavesdropped and confronted him about the issue instead of lying... i genuinely think the ex is a good person, but just didn't think it was a problem cuz he was "wired" like that. it was his own concept of love, and it was true. meanwhile, yoomin has a different concept of love, and since she heard that his heart doesn't flutter, she assumed he never once loved her. however, both loved each other in their own way.
i think both are somehat at fault cuz they could've definitely communicated better and cleaned it properly, before moving on. in the end, maybe it's a question of, what type of love language would u want to receive from your partner? because even if they do love you, if you do not feel like you're being "loved", then it's also a valid reason for checking if that person is whom u wanna be forever
