I'll still read and I'm interested in where this goes, but I was hoping for a smarter yandere. Someone that can play the long con and/or have a story with twists like Colour Recipe (the kind that makes your stomach drop). One day I'll get my perfect brew. One day.

Taeyoon is so desperate for love and actually LIKES Jaemin. If Jaemin had played his cards right, Taeyoon would have been putty. Jaemin is either too much of a dumbass to see that or he is just THAT crazy and desperate himself that he couldn't control himself (or both)

The writing is so gooood.
I think this is the story that I anticipate the most on this website.
This is a lovely series, but I don't think I could ever read this again (and I say that with love). I love the main girl and she deserves the love she pursues but the story of the two boys was so so raw. I felt actual heartache reading their story (the broadcast room scene broke me)
Still think it's very worth reading for those who haven't!
Reminder that if you read and enjoy this, it doesn't automatically make you a bad person.
I'm sure there are a few readers on here experiencing shame for reading and even enjoying this. I see a lot of people justifying why they keep coming back, and you don't need to explain to others why you might like this.
The people on here calling you gross or disturbed aren't trained professionals. They are people who's moral compass believes what you read is what you are. They have a right to feel upset with the content but they are wrong to try and label people liking this content as evil. It's a very sheltered and privileged viewpoint, as there are people currently in the world that are committing these acts. But I don't believe most people that read this think it's 'good', and what to experience this level of trauma or enact it on someone else.
There has been countless studies and research about how the average person has dark thoughts. Whether it's envious feelings over a friend or something darker, like enjoying rape fantasies (can't find the study and it was a few years back but there was a study where 60% of women admitted to having a rape fantasy. Most weren't delusional enough to want to experience it). It's a lot more normal than most people think, but we live in a society where most of that is hushed, especially matters of sex (at least in the west).
If you ARE concerned about your thoughts or maybe exploring why you are attracted to these kinds of topics, it's not a weakness to explore it with a professional. NOT mangago, or tiktok, or twitter. Rarely people are doing any kind of research and are speaking with their feelings. However, I do think we have a responsibility to make sure dark fantasies don't go out of hand. If your thoughts become obsessive, if they disrupt your daily life, if they creep into the real world, and you feel impulses to put yourself or someone else at risk, again, it's not a weakness to ask for help.
As a loveable fictional character once said. It's your actions and choices that make you who you are .
I feel like calling MC naive would be more accurate than calling him straight dumb. He could be proficient in knowing the laws, have good physical fitness, etc. But he has a very innocent view of the world that hardwork and 'doing the right thing' will bring positive outcomes. I feel for him and still hope he doesn't stop believing that doing and being 'good' is a necessity in society. It's so, so easy to take the easy way out and not commit to values and morals, especially when you face people like the yakuza boss.
(I might be slightly delusional that 'justice' will prevail in this story haha.)
Also people wanting the MC to kill himself, but I'm hoping it'll be more like MC is willing to keep fighting to the bitter end, and maybe even take out the yakuza boss. Maybe unrealistic, because the yakuza boss is irredeemable, but I reeeeeally hope that the yakuza boss admits MC as the winner by the end.
I'm honestly hooked on the dialogue and the push and pull of morals. Very curious to see where this leads.
Oh heck yes. I was not expecting philosophy in a yaoi but it's appreciated. Looks like MC has an uphill battle in keeping his virtues, but I'm rooting for him. I don't think he can win if he keeps his honest nature though. Man better start learning 4D chess.
I really hate bringing real life shit into fiction, but some of the comments are seriously insane. I know it's not the intention of some commenters, but some of the comments almost read like if you've ever experienced this level of traumatic rape that it 'makes sense' to just end your life. That death would be better than rape.
It's very careless wording.
Rape is a deplorable action in itself, but it doesn't (or shouldn't) taint the victim for the rest of their life. It's a wound that stays, but doesn't have to define the person's whole existence. I hope people know that.
Good job on the author for writing a character that genuinely gets me riled up. The ex is a straight up bitch.
Usually I'm okay with dark content and a bad ending. But here I'm really hoping the Yi-Hwa can keep his morals and dignity, and that he 'wins'. Whether this is badly written or not, I don't think I've come across another manhwa where the MC understands that being raped does not 'taint' a person.
