Are the characters supposed to teleport to the next fight or smthing. Wouldnt it be more jarring if every fucking chapter some boss character showed up to beat their ass. Like this chapter, you see girlie pop open up more, you see the younger brother try to get closer to her by relying on her even for things hes capable of, you see the brother taking action cuz hes suspecting smthing, these are small steps but they build their characters and help with whatever the author has planned
