Well it was good while it lasted. Time to drop another one.
The plot doesn't make sense to me. I don't get why MC has not taken advantage of bejng a lie-detector. Just corner that foxy ex and call bs every time he lies. He may not know how you know it's a lie, but at least he'd give up some info. At worst he'll try to distance himself, though with how infatuated he is, it wouldn't be for long. Instead there's absolutely no effort, even when the ex was sick and vulnerable. Guess his sister's murder conspiracy, sense of betrayal by his lover and partner and loss of carreer is not enough for the author to make things make sense. So much time wasted in-story and reading the comic.
I swear 9/10 chineses comics have such massive plotholes and nonesense character progression that I'm seriously considering that either it's standard for chinese comic creators to go for every project with iron will and push through dozens of chapters without planning out the story, or they as a culture have incredibly inefficient ways to solve literally anything in life. I cannot understand their way of thinking at all.
