I love Harada's works and reading this just further makes me appriciate them. They take the sense of drama, horror and torture to a level of seriousness, rawness and expression that this tries to emulate and fails. In the first chapters already rape and blackmail, yet the victim acts careless and his fear and trauma are almost non-existant. His emotions conflicting with the well-being and expansion of his business by accepting his rapist's blackmail is also next to nule. Good try though.
