Exactly. I said when his mother was killed thst the emperor wouldn't have gone traipsing through the forest to find a secluded hidden hut just to kill one imae. He's brash and upfront and would just kill the ones in front of him. Whereas Ra-on, he knows the only person uke has is his mother. Take her out of the picture and uke would go to the only other person who has been kind to him, Ra-on. And the fact that Ra-on is still alive when the emperor executed every other person in their family is a crucial plot point alone. There's no reason to keep him alive since Ra-on has a claim to the throne being of the same blood.
Not to mention that although Ra-on was drawn so lovely and sweet, there's absolutely something slimy about his appearance and I don't know what it is! Maybe his eyes? Uke and emperor have very expressive eyes but Ra-ons don't seem to show emotions like theirs do? Idk man.
