Soo the woman who is crying (Isla) is a winter spirit, and she made the country that FL is visiting for business, frozen, out of rage to this entire country's royalty bloodline and thanks to that FL become unable to go home.
Why did Isla get mad? She thought that her best friend, Mars, was killed by the princess of the country while she was having a baby from another man.
Then other spirits (spring summer autum) noticed that the FL is able to see them so they asked the FL to talk to Isla to stop the winter.
Many things happened and and FL met a girl ghost that claimed to the princess. The princess begged FL to explain the truth and gave the diary to Isla, explaining that actually the child and the entire royalty bloodline right now is mars' child, not another man's. And that the princess didn't kill Mars, but mars did it himself to protect the princess and the baby since the emperor and empress that time mandated the princess to kill the baby.
So all this time Isla was mad to Mars' bloodline. She was sad and missed Mars so much. FL understand that and showed her the illusion of Mars.
