yeah their relationship is SO cute, but maybe this is just me but from my eyes Wakamiya's interest in Akari at the moment looks like a friend caring for his close friend's well being or a person's interest in saving a lonely stray kitten during winter as extreme example. And it doesn't help that Wakamiya keeps telling us that he is straight. Granted he could be in denial but from how he acts & reacts he seems to be actually straight & not harboring any love/sexual interest towards Akari... that's why i said what i said.
It'll be different case if he didn't act the way he acts, I mean if Wakamiya acts badump badump from the start despite keep saying he's straight I'll willingly disregard his statement & be on the canon ship too tbh hahahaha
