I really thought I was reading a BL for a second and then I remembered this was the josei smut manga with monsters
I randomly started reading in the middle (33)...which apparently was a good choice because that's when the story 180s into darker waters. All the MLs in this are batshit insane but not as insane as the FL, and I like it, haha.
So far I'm liking it. I think it's quite nice to see the woman take the lead in the relationship, while the man does everything he can to give her freedom and power. The FL/ML are slowburn dating but it's very sweet.
Did not regret picking this up for the platinum haired dude on the cover. Sir Balthasar is divinely hot. I also think it's interesting and kind of rare to find a rofan webtoon with actual historical names, real places, and a sprinkle of religious undertones. It really makes the setting seem sensible.

But I'm enjoying the story so far. I love the vibe and the art, and the socio-political situationship. It's a nice change of pace from all the old same-samey fantasy romance.

Maybe an 8/10(?). Not perfect, though still a very compelling read. I think the twist is pretty interesting, but I hope they wrap up soon. It does seem like it's almost finished (hopefully).
