He didn't catch the hint about the grand proposal at first, she even comments on it. She only rejected him when he went to her because it's absolutely necessary that a grand proposal is done. The idea was that he was supposed to get home, find out she's gone and panic, then chase after her with a grand proposal set up, but he's dense and just panicked and chased her.

Well we cant really say who at fault here...on one side, the FL is (kinda?a bit?) obsessed with the ML because ya knoe he helped her...and as she said in the last part(fl in this manwha) she thought that he was her light (fl in novel)...so i think for him she is just like any other girls who likes him, he just did not care since he does not like her
while on the ML side, as i said he just dont give a f*** of all the girls who likes him and i think he sees the fl as an annoying person its just in his character .....but the thing that he did wrong is push her to her death...just like how the real Su Luxia said in the end.
But really the in the wrong here is the author ya know killing someone just to make a continuing story....hahahhah just had to say it cant keep it in my thoughts ╮(￣▽￣)╭
