If I were to put myself in Yiyoung's shoes I would actually do the same. Listening to Director talking like he doesn't give a shit about me is going to be painful as hell. And I wouldn't want to breakdown in front of him making me more pathetic in his eyes. Before coming, Ahn actually readied himself for the usual rejection from Director, like he can't mix his professional life with personal and they were still business partner and he didn't want to make it awkward in their workplace. Or he was expecting him to mention about the proposal he sent. So it really hurts when Director said those things.
