I think the story will flow differently and Fjord won't die. Instead he will live and he will become Atil's most trusted partner and friend. I just can feel that Lyrica has that power to connect and clear up problems like that. I also just know Lyrica won't abandon Fjord when he is dying.
Are we sure he even really died ? I had some huge suspicions when the mother was retelling the events, she said that words got out that he died, and then magically a girl came out of nowhere, it's just a theory but since she said she didn't know exactly how he died, it's plausible.
I think it must be true that he died since the mom was a pretty avid supporter of the Fyord-centric group and we now know that she did gain more power later on and gained connection with more people of higher status.
Idk right now it's still very muddy and even if she gained connexion her status wouldn't be forgotten just like that, there were probably a lot of things they weren't sharing with her.
