spoiler for novel (huge spoilers)
100+ chapters of him tormenting her and her trying to leave him and escape. Many instances where he blackmails her and coerced her into sex. Losing his mind and PLANNING to kill her when he finds her again after she ran away. And it's like in one chapter she just suddenly had a change of heart and decided she forgives him and loves him. Really? I'm telling you, in the novel towards the end, the story gets really creepy. Matthias goes crazy and is worse than ever. And then in like one chapter she suddenly has feelings for him. It felt so rushed to me. I know that the ending pair was always gonna be her and Matthias but damn. After all that Matthias does youre just in disbelief that she's able to forgive him.

Sounds like she suffered from Stockholm syndrome. I don’t know if her feelings towards him would be considered true love. Her feelings were probably a psychological response to the abuse that entailed developing attachment and connection to her abuser. It makes me wonder why he impregnated her in the end. I guess this was his final claim and possession of her. This is an interesting story but by no means a normal romance.

Everybody always talks about this manwha and I wanted to like it soo bad but I can’t get over the dad of the mc and how much of a deadbeat dad he is. He really did black magic so he could erase the memory of the woman he loved….kinda dumb ngl. Plus I just hate the trope of a female main character having to go through so much shit and insults from the person they love, all so that in the end the person is like “wow you really stuck with me even after I pushed you away and acted like I hated you

He used black magic, erased his memory, and ignored his daughter because of deep grief and loneliness. And the wife and him knew she was going to die during childbirth, and he didn't accept that which made his grief even more hard causing him to do something drastic, which was black magic.
He didn't act like he hated her really did. He didn't necessarily accept his daughter because she kept coming back, but because he realized she's more than just a reminder of the person he's trying to suppress along with down the line as he's starting to come to turns with his grief realizing she's also apart of the person he loves, and wants to cherish her because of that.
He's still a complete ass and a deadbeat, no doubt, but it's not for no reason
