I hope... The ML is not being used again. It would hurt me if the MC was really just... Like the FL.
For this manwha, I applied the typical method of ditching and binging, and I don't regret it one bit. Had I read it with cliffhangers and silly misunderstandings left waiting for a chapter to be explained, I would probably be more exhausted and frustrated at the story. Nevertheless, two things made me thoroughly enjoy it and stand out for me:
1. Their love for each other is realistic within their circumstances, they know each other since forever, so they understand each other almost tacitly, they don't have to say anything for the other to know, and even when it takes the MC time to arrive at the answer he does. Furthermore, I love that the ML adores his partner fully as a beta, because everything in his personality rejects the idea of the mutated species, he hates the culture of debauchery, carnality, vain sex, pheromones... And unlike many other omegaverses he never once things that it would be nice for his partner to be able to smell the pheromones, or even get pregnant - the fact that he is able to have a pure, normal relationship with the MC is all that he could ever want. The feeling of innocence and wholehearted surrender to each other.
2. The plan was in motion since before the MC even left the palace for the first time. My guy thought of this his whole life, from childhood, and simply used his cousin for it because he could. Since the begging he planned on creating an opportunity where even as they broke up, their platonic love for each would be so tangible, that the MC would stay by his side.
Meaning, he didn't care if he could not fulfill his selfish desires of having his love, just his presence. He apologized because, he endangered him, and put him out there for the world to see, but that was just collateral damage, to ensure that if his beloved did leave, he would do so for good reason and never come back. Remember the MC has been sheltered all his life, the moment he can't handle it, the ML has to let go of him as someone of his high status, but he would at least have spent moments loving him and being loved by him.
I bookmarked so many pages from this...the love, the romance is so sweet and tender...I love it.
Ian will always be Ian for me as a reader, and not Brian. At this point, I would be glad for a story where Ian disappears and finds his own path far away from Soleite, who doesn't even see him as an individual.
Old man Toneira is stronger than hatred. He never dies and never fails to meddle.
Heo will remain oblivious and think he has it all managed with his Hyung. On the other hand, the second couple has all knowledge, and have direct contact with the main points of conflict, therefore, either:
1. The violent twink associates with the powdered milk twink to ruin the relationship, and bring the people they want closer to them;
2. The handsome passive guy, decides to interfere in Heo's movie by hiring the violent twink or just giving the wrong advice all together, thus making him involved with Heo, bringing us back to point one.
Either way, hyung will find out about what has been happening behind his back and Heo would:
a. Have known before him and hidden it, not to make him worry but slowly eating away at his trust, so it ends up in them taking a break;
b. Find out after hyung and realize that when he decided to distance himself from him, it was all to protect him and his job, so they get back together.
I am rooting for the couples, waiting for the day the twinks get a beat down.
Am I the only one who is deeply sad for Ian? I want him to find his own happiness. I know he "is" Brian, but he isn't to me, and this is.sad.
I just wanna get to the end of this. I don't care for the smut, I just want an ending.
Ugh, that little blondie twink just keeps getting worse and worse. How I hoped that he was out of the picture already ( ̄へ ̄)
That when the MC was little, he was possessed not only during acting but in daily life. That's why he doesn't quite remember how he acted in his childhood, there's also the factor that he had to grow up too fast and wasn't properly socialized because of his family's situation. I think this because even in situations when he might seem selfish, he still thinks of the other person, like how he cares about his brother above anything, or cared for the ML so that he wouldn't get a scar (because he "knew it was the most damage thing that could happen to an actor"). Even when his messed up destiny is a product of the ML's actions, and he had grounds to believe that, he chooses trust over suspicion and falls in love with him.
The red box in the ML's room is the other side of the red string, that would have been tied to someone in their circle, otherwise I doubt he would have found it so fast and easily, as the accident occurred when he was a kid and from there his life went downhill. The ML could have been able to speak or see spirits once, and on a whim, did this. Since he has an obsessive personality, he disliked the minor antagonist from before messing with the MC, but he was sleeping with the same character in previous panels, so that leads me to believe, he had it orchestrated on purpose - so that this set would bring the MC as close to the past as possible, and shake him up completely.
Why some spirits seem to want to defend the MC? Man...no idea, but one spirit in particular pickes my interest, and it seems that someone in his past also told him about the red string of fate. The spirits know exactly what happened, they pittied him right as it started when he was a kid, and so the more they spend time together, the less the ML will deter spirits, the more "inconveniences" will be caused around him. The only dark spirit hanging around the ML, I think is the same one he saw in his childhood.
...and this is reaching, but I would be so into a plot of temporal distortion, where the spirit the ML saw was the spirit of the MC in the future... something Hill House like that ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
I...I hope that it ends up semi-ok. It upsets me to think that the MC could have been a prick in the past, so at least having his reasons being shown puts me in a state where I have no idea who to hate.
Does this have a prequel or something? They always hint and tell little things about the relationship between Ash and Nick or how Kyle and Nick hell in love, but we don't actually see any of it...
I hope they don't fall in love, it's so much better that way!
